What is an
SVQ in Health and Safety Management?
The Scottish
vocational qualification (SVQ) is a nationally
recognised formal qualification based on the Occupational
Safety and Health Practice National Standards and carries the
same currency as NEBOSH diploma part 2.
These standards
were developed by the Occupational Safety and Health body, an
independent group of professionals representing the
Confederation of British Industry, the Trade Union Congress,
the Health and Safety Executive and the Department of
Education and Employment.

The SVQ is
designed for managers who have experience in and are
responsible for health and safety issues.
